Hive for Applications (“Hive”) aims to provide you with a user-friendly platform for a variety of HR and operational related services. By doing so, we recognize that you, be it as a company providing its data (“Client”) or one of their employees, contractors or subcontractors (“Authorized Users”) or simply as an individual who visits our website (“Visitors”) (collectively “you“ or “your”) trust us with your personal data. Maintaining this trust is our top priority and hence we abide by the below principles.

We do everything in our power to protect your personal information in connection with the use of our website and Services. In order to do so, we have implemented industry standard administrative, technical and physical security safeguards designed to protect your information.

This Privacy Policy applies to data provided on or through Hive’s website and/or application named “Bluworks” located at www.bluworks.io, and Bluworks mobile application and all other services offered by Hive through the website and apps as set forth under the Client’s Terms of Service (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy describes Hive’s privacy practices in connection with the use of Bluworks’ website, apps and Services. It also describes the choices available to you with regard to the use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information. The use of information collected through/for the Services shall be limited to the purposes of providing the Services for which the Authorized Users or Client has engaged Bluworks and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.

By accepting this Privacy Policy, you hereby acknowledge that you have read and understood its terms, and agree to comply and be bound by them. You hereby approve and provide your consent that we will be processing your Data and Information (as defined under the Client’s Terms of Use and Users Terms of Use). You also hereby acknowledge that you have the legal capacity to accept and be bound by this Privacy Policy. You accept that we may share any of the information we collect with our business partners, affiliates, third parties for the provision of the Services.

1. What information do we collect?

Depending on what kind of services you are using within the Bluworks software, you may be required to disclose a variety of personal and or confidential information about you, your company, and/or your employees (please refer to our Data Protection Policy under the Client Terms of Use and User Terms of Use). More specifically, you may be required to disclose the following categories of personal information about you:

Registration information 

This refers to your password and login (email) details along with any information that might be necessary to update your account.

Personal information 

Your name, physical address, social insurance  details, phone number, and other personal identifiers used to manage and track your activity and facilitate human resources processes in accordance with the requirements of the applicable jurisdiction.

Corporate information

Company’s name, contact information, commercial registration number, tax and VAT registration numbers and social insurance details.

Demographic information 

Details about your place of work, gender, age, nationality and any other demographic information.

Benefit information

If you choose to maintain your Insurance details or any other benefit details in Bluworks for the provision of the Services, we will either collect them during implementation or you will upload them yourself at a later stage.

Information from Third-Party Sites and Services

In case you want Bluworks to be integrated with one of your current service providers, we might have access to data available on such services depending on the nature of desired integration.

Device and IP Information

When you access the Service, we automatically receive the internet protocol (“IP”) address of your computer or the proxy server that you use to access the internet, in addition to other technical information such as your computer operating system details, your type of web browser, your mobile device (including your mobile device identifier provided by your mobile device operating system), your mobile operating system, and the name of your ISP or mobile carrier. Hive may log this information and analyze it to determine anomalous behavior, detect threats and generally improve the Service. Further, Hive may collect, use, store, and transmit your various activities in our mobile application required for performing the Services (e.g. dates and times of your visits, location, and login and exit times).

Customer Support Interactions

When you contact our Customer Support team, we might open your profile details to better understand the nature of the inquiry and find a suitable solution in the shortest possible period of time.

Cookies, Beacons, Mobile SDKs, and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies, including beacons in email messages, and application developer platforms that use mobile Software Development Kits (“SDKs”) to collect information about your use of any mobile application that we make available to you, and other information related to how browsers and mobile devices interact with the Service. These technologies help us recognize your browser or mobile device when you log in to our website and use our mobile applications and help us improve your experience with the Service, increase Bluworks’ security, and measure and improve the use and effectiveness of our Service.

To render our Service

In order to provide you with a delightful user experience and make your company life easier, we need all the information so that you no longer need paper and pen and spreadsheets.

To improve and customize our Service

Hive constantly seeks to improve your experience. Hence we gather certain information in order for us to constantly develop our Software and Service offerings.

To integrate with Third Parties

To support our Clients and Authorized Users and streamline the HR experience and the Services, Hive may integrate our system with third parties. For example, Hive may integrate the Service to support your preferred accounting service provider.

To communicate with you

Hive wants to help you know how to best take advantage of the Service, especially as we improve and develop new features. We may send you messages with regards to your use of the service or simply to get some feedback from your side.

To work with our vendors and service providers

Hive uses third party vendors and service providers to provide the Service to you. For example, we use a web hosting provider to make our Services available to you in a secure Cloud environment. Hive’s information stored with our Cloud provider is not accessible to any of their employees except at our request and to carry out our instructions. In other words, all our vendors are limited to their use of your data in the same way that we are limited in our use of your data by this Privacy Policy.

To comply with legal disclosure requirements

Hive may disclose your information as permitted by the applicable laws to:

    • Comply with a legal requirement or process;

    • Enforce this Privacy Policy or our Service Agreements or; and

3. What rights do you have?

Accessing, Updating, and Removing personal information

Clients, Authorized Users and Visitors have a right to withdraw their consent as well as access, amend, modify, or delete personal information controlled by Hive as necessary in accordance with the applicable laws. Authorized Users who are seeking access to their personal information or who are attempting to correct, amend or delete inaccurate personal information should direct their requests to their employers (i.e. Clients). Hive will correct, amend or delete inaccurate personal information when reasonably documented in accordance with applicable laws.

4. Important Information

Security

Hive follows generally accepted standards to protect your Data and Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, however, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Retention

Hive will retain Personal Information we process on behalf of our Clients for as long as needed to provide services to our Clients, Authorized Users or visitors.
